More on Sebongile Sonop

Sebongile Sonop is a very versatile, hardworking, reliable and well-rounded individual.  Her name is not just a name, but the name that gets respect from children to elderly people and this is not just a career for her but a calling. She is enjoys being around her family and friend, indoor parties and vacations.

Sebongile Sonop was born in early 80’s in Botshabelo, the township outside Bloemfontein. I grew up like any child in a township, facing challenges of poverty and unemployed parents. Will not forget the moment of putting a box every day inside my school shoes to protect my feet, those were very difficult times that I will not forget as child. I knew then that I should work very hard.

Sebongile Sonop started her colourful and illustrious career in 2004 at the local community radio station and she never looked back. Actually this grew in high school where she was excellent in debating, public speaking and MC in big school events.  She believes in making a meaningful difference to one listener after her show.

She is host women seminar, has a project called Bongi le Maqheku where we teach them to read and write. She started with the government programme called Kha Ri Gude and still continue even when is no more.  She is a motivational speaker, an ambassador of Knorrox, translator of SouthAfrica.co.za and MC.
