Who is Thuso Motaung? 

A teacher by profession, The Legendary Thuso Motaung joined Lesedi FM in 1983 and since then he has won the hearts of many South Africans behind the microphone. He is known to be an outspoken and controversial character which can be attributed to his legion of loyal listeners. His passion, relevance, love and respect for the microphone and his listeners earned him awards throughout the 80’s, 90’s and in 2019 he was honoured with Hall of Fame Award, Man Of the Year Award 2019 and Mzanzi’s favourite radio personality of the year award beating the likes of radio guru DJ Fresh. Due to taxi violence in South Africa, Mr. Thuso Motaung initiated a programme called Bua Le Yona Mokganni currently known as Jwale Ke Nako; which has contributed a lot in ensuring the growth of the only black owned industry in South Africa. His Sunday moral regeneration programme Makgulong A Matala has over 20 years commanded close to a million listeners and is still one of the best Sunday programmes on radio in South Africa that has changed lives through innovative and compelling content and presentation style.
