Who is Tholoana?

Tholoana is a vibrant, friendly, confident, loving, focused and assertive individual with a good sense of humour. She thrives on making a difference in people’s lives and surrounds herself with supportive and positive people. Treating listeners with dignity, humility and respect is very close to her big heart.  My favourite moments are watching TV, listening to the radio, spending time in the kitchen, socializing with friends and going shopping.  This lady with a golden voice and an infectious laughter enjoys spending time with her family. 

She believes that passion, creativity and open-mindedness are key to making it in the broadcasting space as Radio is the theatre of the mind.  She also believes in the 6 D’s: Dream, Drive, Desire, Determination, Dedication, Discipline.

Progression and Milestones

She can easily connect with people hence she is a seasoned Master of ceremonies, a Public speaker and a voice over artist.  She is also passionate about social issues

She has just been nominated in the SA Radio Awards 2019/2020 through her daytime show.  I joined the SABC as an administration clerk in 1995 and in 1997 my career took a different direction as I became a presenter of the graveyard show, since then I never looked back as I proved myself through hard work, I presented several shows on the station like Sports, mid-day show, children and the aged show etc, from which I gained a lot of experience and they all added value to the person that I am today.  I am currently doing the Mid-morning show Mathemalodi.

I am passionate about life:   self- development and self-improvement in my personal life.

 A meal that I enjoy cooking is: samp and stew with vegetables.

Childhood memory that still resonates with me: is getting my first menstrual periods at a very early stage.

My pet peeve is: “Being late”.

One thing that I am proud of is: being a very supportive mother to my children at all times.

My favourite music genre is :Gospel, soul and Amapiano.
