SABC Free State Provincial Staff support Shavaton

Date: Mar 6, 2017

14th national CANSA Shavathon

The Bloemfontein SABC staff in collaboration with Lesedi FM,  teamed up with the local Cancer Association staff to create awareness and support those affected by cancer.  As early as 09:00 on Friday, 3 March, Colleagues started convening at the foyer, some wearing their campaign head wraps which were on sale for R30.  For as little as R50, most gents went for shaving, whilst the ladies opted to spray paint their hair.  It was all fun and laughter as some went as far as colouring their beards. The PGM, Mr Vincent Tsoenyane, also came to show his support and sprayed his ‘chiskop.’

An amount of R1 530 accumulated will go towards creating further awareness and supporting the local affected communities.

According to shavathon.org.za, this is their 14th national CANSA Shavathon, independently managed by CANSA staff and volunteers. In order to fund their unique and integrated service  to those affected by cancer, CANSA relies on the goodwill of individuals, government and corporate partners for support.

Well done Colleagues for the great support shown.  Watch your e-mail for your lovely individual photos..
