Ba2Cada initially took on the role of afternoon show presenter at the station, maintaining this position for a remarkable 14 years from 2006 to 2020. I consider myself among the few in my generation to have demonstrated such long-term commitment to a single show, which truly showcased my consistency in delivery. Throughout those 14 years on the afternoon show, I received the MTN Radio Awards three times for the best afternoon show and two times for Best Afternoon Drive Presenter, including an accolade in my final year with the program. Additionally, I was honored with the DStv Listeners’ Choice Award for Best Radio Presenter, a particularly special achievement since I was nominated against notable figures such as Tbo Touch (Metro FM), Tbose (Khanya FM), Anele Mdoda (Highveld), and Sqemeza from Ukhozi FM. I won this category while presenting in Sesotho, which is the most widely spoken language in the country, competing against three English presenters and one from a Zulu-speaking background, making the victory even more meaningful.
What differentiates me as an OAP?
My distinctive presenting style, which has inspired many emerging radio hosts, alongside my ability to connect with listeners. I believe I am one of the few who make radio enjoyable to listen to, as I stay grounded with the community and discuss our daily experiences.
